The Pastoral staff at The R.O.C.K. serve as extensions of the senior pastor himself so can devote himself to the studying the Word. The assistant pastors provide pastoral guidance over our youth, conduct marriage and personal counseling, perform weddings, visit our sick and shut-in, oversee the creation of Bible studies across the Houston metro-plex area (SALT – Saturating the Atmosphere with Living Truth), and provide members’ care to the entire congregation on behalf of the senior pastor.
The Elders of The R.O.C.K., according to 1 Timothy 3:1-7, have set themselves aside for the work of ministry, and act at the spiritual Aarons and Hurs to the pastor, monitoring the processes of the church and the overall care of the members and friends of The R.O.C.K.
Ministers of The R.O.C.K. are licensed individuals that provide worship leadership when needed, exhorting, receiving offerings, and participating in the liturgy. The ministers lead R.O.C.K. laymen in organized invitation events in various communities around The R.O.C.K. They also act as evangelists in and outside of The R.O.C.K. organization, preaching the Good News and exhorting congregations to submit to Christ and to their pastor.
The Deacons Ministry at The R.O.C.K. is the servant model within the church. The Deacons serve the Lord by conducting the caring ministry of the church, handling the benevolence work of ministry, unifiying the congregation through care, attentiveness, spiritual alertness and prayer. The Deacons ministry tends to the needs of the people freeing the Apostle and Pastoral leadership to focus on prayer and the ministry of the Word.
